YDI is geared up to administer GED Tests to our youth and community members. Many
youth and adults who did not complete a high school program continue to learn daily
through a variety of life experiences. The GED Testing Program at YDI provides an
opportunity for these educational skills and abilities to be evaluated and recognized.
The GED Tests make it possible for qualified individuals to earn a high school credential
providing many opportunities. Please encourage students, family, and friends to
sign up for the GED Tests. Registration is available at 518 1st St. NW, Monday through
Friday from 8am-5pm. You must register in person. Payment of the exam fee must be

Who can take the GED Test?
The GED Test can be administered to persons who have not graduated from an accredited
high school or received a high school equivalency certificate or diploma; and who
are not currently enrolled in a regular high school; and who meet the state’s minimum
age requirement. You must be at least 16 years old, complete the withdrawal process
from your school district, and have completed the Underage Verification Form.
First-Time Examinees:
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Present 2 forms of identification. One must be a current government issued photo
ID.
- Present proof of payment of the required $50 fee (non refundable).
- GED candidates 16 or 17 years of age must also present a completed Underage
Verification Form
- Registration must be done in person.

If you have a disability, documented by a qualified professional, which requires

request special accommodations, which must be approved at the state or national
level.
