Project H.O.P.E. (Hope, Opportunity, Pride, and Empowerment) provides independent
living skills training for youth, ages 15-21, who are in the custody of the New
Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD).
Youth eligible for individualized services are aging out of the foster care system
and/or have a plan of emancipation established by CYFD. Among the many skills included
are: job seeking / maintenance, housing, money management, educational planning,
food management, housekeeping, community resources, CPR and First Aid, legal issues,
health, inter-personal relationships, sexuality, substance abuse, and parenting.
