Juvenile Community Corrections provides pre-sentencing alternatives to children's courts in three counties for more than 300 adjudicated juveniles each year that might otherwise be institutionalized.

Each client is court ordered and must adhere to a specific plan of care that includes intensive supervision, educational and employment assistance, community service, and/or victim restitution, and institutional transition services.

Juvenile Community Corrections programs in Valencia and Sandoval counties are modeled after the successful Bernalillo County Juvenile Community Corrections program.

The program also provides services for youth in the institutions in preparation for successful reintegration home.
