Wise Men Wise Women Mentoring Program

Wise Men & Women Mentorship Program is a school-based, school-year program that helps children and youth, ages 6-14, build strong character, achieve positive self-esteem, and create solutions to their everyday problems with the help of a caring relationship with an adult volunteer mentor.

The school-based Wise Men/Women program serves 14 elementary, 5 middle schools and 1 alternative school from September through May. Program staff are responsible for recruitment, screening, training, placing and follow-up of volunteers. Staff also act as volunteer school liaisons.

Volunteer support includes individual monthly contact, monthly roundtable meetings and a quarterly newsletter.
