Albuquerque Community Foundation selected Youth Development, Inc. (YDI), along with four other non-profits, as a recipient of their $30,000 Great Grant Giveaway. The Great Grant Giveaway to place on Thursday, April 25th during the foundation's annual breakfast allowing each sponsored table to award a grant of $500 to one of the five non-profits. Thank you to those sponsored tables that selected YDI's Early Childhood Education and Family Development as their named charity in raising a total of $5,500.
YDI is a Grassroots Community Based Organization. We have over 40 programs to meet your needs. We serve over 17,000 youth and their families annually. YDI has services located in Bernalillo Co., Central and Northern New Mexico.
This year alone:
- 330 YDI clients have been employed and or continuing their education.
- 978 YDI Head Start Children are ready for kindergarten and start our partner charter school La Promesa. They are also prepared to enroll in public and or private school.
- 4,368 YDI youth on a average go on at least two fieldtrips per month to museums, sporting events, Legislative Session, movies, theater productions, and cultural events.
- 503,607 nutritious meals and snacks have been freshly made and served.
