The Argus Learning for Living Program is a educational and workforce development program that works with high school drop outs between the ages of 16 and 18 to provide GED preparation, computer based instruction, social skills training, job skills and job readiness training, job acquisition assistance and job retention assistance. Outcomes include improved social skills, more prosocial attitudes and behavior, improved job skills and readiness, part-time summer employment, internships and increased educational attainment.

The Computer Clubhouse is designed to give youth ages six to eighteen (6-18) access to computer technology. Adult and peer mentors work with each individual to explore ideas, nurture their talent, and build self-esteem through the use of technology.

The C-Core program recruits professionals from the home building and construction field to become mentors for youth ages 16-18. The goal of the program is to provide a positive role model in the lives of our youth and help expose them to this industry to lead them on a career pathway. Mentors will spend 1 one hour a week with their mentees and participate in quarterly community service projects. Training is provided for all mentors and mentees and YDI staff will be available throughout the relationship to ensure proper communication and to assist the mentor.

QOP is a drop out prevention program that works with a 9th grade students from West Mesa High School to provide tutoring, mentoring, social skills training and leadership training. The goals of QOP are to elevate the proficiency of participants to increase their grade level, improve grades, reduce truancy, reduce drop outs, reduce crime and other problem behavior, enhance leadership skills, and increase the likelihood that participants will continue to post-secondary education. Case management is provided to all students throughout their 4 years in high school to ensure they graduate. Monetary stipends are available to all participants for participation in the program.

This program was designed to help those who are unemployed to upgrade their employability skills to find good jobs or those who are underemployed and want to advance in their present job. It will prepare participants for the workplace, with high quality training covering job readiness, workplace expectations, life and employability skills, workplace communication and problem solving and entry level occupational skills.
