Larry FortessLarry Fortess is the Chief Operations Officer and Vice President of Youth Development Inc. Mr. Fortess earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Psychology from Northern Illinois University and a Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of New Mexico and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Mr. Fortess has thirty five years of experience directing behavioral health and social service programs. Mr. Fortess has been with YDI since 1974.

John MelendezJohn Melendez is the YDI Chief Financial Officer, and is responsible for all finance related activities for the organization. Mr. Melendez has more than thirty five years of finance experience and an impeccable record of quality financial management with each and every one of YDI’s funding sources and independent auditors. Mr. Melendez has been with YDI for twenty years.


Donna MartinezDonna Martinez is the Vice President of Human Resources for the agency. Ms. Martinez and her professional staff are responsible for all personnel matters for the more than five hundred professional employees of YDI. Ms. Martinez has been employed with YDI for thirty three years and is a leading expert in the field of Human Resources. Ms. Martinez graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors degree in 2000.
