Alamosa Community Center is in an Albuquerque city housing project whose youth had no structured recreational programs to deter them from involvement in gangs, vandalism, and serious crimes.

The Center's comprehensive program includes youth and family support services, job development, youth employment, gang intervention, community pride projects, and a structured recreation program.
