Federal Gov Ends Paper Checks – Free Mini-Webinar (6 PM)
Heads up! A major change is coming from the U.S. Treasury. As of September 30, 2025, paper checks for federal benefits, such as Social Security, VA benefits, and tax refunds, will be eliminated.
This means recipients must switch to direct deposit or apply for an exception (very limited) with the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Additionally, if you make payments to the IRS or other federal agencies by check, you will now be required to make those payments electronically.
If you or someone you know relies on paper checks, now is the time to take action.
