Use the YDI Employee Portal in Criterion to view pay stubs, submit time, update personal information, and see HR announcements.

How to Apply

1. Find a Position

Go to our job board and browse openings by location or program. Select a job to view requirements and duties.

2. Create an Account or Sign In

Use your email to create a secure account in our system (Criterion) or sign in if you’ve applied before.

3. Complete the Application

Fill in all required fields with accurate dates and job duties in your own words. Attach any required certifications or licenses and (optionally) a resume.

4. Submit & Confirm

Review your information and submit. Watch your email for confirmation and any next steps.

5. Interview

If selected, a hiring manager or HR will contact you to schedule an interview. We’ll share what to bring and how to prepare.

6. Offer & Next Steps

Offers may be contingent on background checks, references, and other requirements (e.g., pre‑employment physical for some roles).

Benefits at a Glance

Eligibility

  • Employees working 30+ hours/week are eligible.
  • Dependents generally include legal spouse/domestic partner and children up to age 26 (see plan documents for exact definitions).

When Coverage Starts

  • Submit your new‑hire elections within 30 days of your start date.
  • Coverage begins on the 1st of the month after 30 days.

Medical Plan Options

  • Blue Preferred EPO – In-network only with simple, predictable copays.
  • Blue Evolution PPO – Large network; includes out-of-network coverage (higher cost-sharing).
  • Blue Edge HSA (HDHP) – High-deductible plan with an HSA; YDI contributes $1,000/year toward your account.

HSA Highlights

  • YDI contributes $1,000/year when enrolled in the HDHP.
  • 2025 HSA limits: $4,300 (single), $8,550 (family), plus $1,000 catch‑up if age 55+.

Dental & Vision

  • Dental plan options available.
  • Vision premium paid 100% by YDI for eligible full‑time staff.

Retirement Savings (403(b))

  • Tax‑deferred retirement plan for eligible employees.
  • Employee contributions reduce taxable income; details provided in offer/HR.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

  • Pre‑tax Healthcare FSA and Dependent Care FSA options.
  • Use pre‑tax dollars for eligible medical or childcare expenses (plan rules apply).

Paid Time Off & Holidays

  • Paid vacation and sick time for eligible employees.
  • Agency holiday schedule observed; details provided by HR.

Life, AD&D & Disability

  • Basic life and AD&D coverage; supplemental options may be available.

Who can apply for a job at YDI?

Anyone eligible to work in the United States can apply for a job at YDI! We welcome people from all backgrounds who share our passion for helping children, youth, and families succeed. Some positions may have specific requirements—like a degree, certain work experience, or being at least 21 years old if you’re working directly with youth. Every job posting will list what’s needed, so you’ll know exactly what we’re looking for. If you care about making a difference in our community, we encourage you to apply!

Where do I apply and do I have to apply in person?

Apply online through our portal at ydi.criterionhcm.com. We do not accept in-person applications, so please be sure to submit everything through our online system. If you need help with the process, our HR Recruiting team is always happy to guide you. ydihumanresources@ydinm.org with a screenshot and job title.

How many jobs can I apply for?

You can apply for as many posted openings as you wish. Submit a separate, complete application for each position.

Do I need a resume?

A resume is optional and can be attached as additional information. Your application must still include a complete work history and details requested in the posting.

Who reviews my application and who will interview me?

Applications are reviewed by HR. Qualified candidates selected by the hiring department will be invited to interview.

What is the EEO information used for?

Voluntary EEO information is collected for required reporting and statistical purposes only. It is not used to make hiring decisions.

Will I be tested?

Some roles may require assessments or proof of licenses/certifications. Any testing or documentation requirements will be noted in the job posting.

How do I check the status of my application?

Log into your account at ydi.criterionhcm.com to view status. If you are selected for interview, we will contact you by phone or email.

How long does the hiring process take?

Timing varies by position and volume of applicants. Many decisions are made within a few weeks after the posting closes; specialized roles may take longer.

Is my application kept on file for other openings?

No. Applications are considered only for the specific job(s) to which you apply. You may apply again to new postings as they appear.

Are applications available online?

Yes. All applications are submitted online via ydi.criterionhcm.com.

What must be included in my application?

Provide complete and accurate work history (with dates and duties in your own words), education, and attach any required certifications or documents specified in the posting.
