The New Mexico Public Education Department has approved two tests, the GED and HiSET tests, for High School Equivalency (HSE) credentials in New Mexico. Therefore, the credential is now referred to as an ‘NM High School Equivalency certificate’ rather than a ‘GED.’ YDI does not prep for GED attainment.
High School Equivalency Diploma
If you dropped out of high school or are considering dropping out, there are other ways to earn credentials that are considered equal to a high school diploma. A High School Equivalency Diploma (HSE) is one option that you might consider as an alternative to a GED or traditional high school diploma. The HSE is a good option for students who haven’t had the chance to earn a traditional high school diploma. Most employers and colleges accept it as a substitute for a high school diploma, which can provide you with more opportunities in your career and education.
